HQ Batting Scissors

<p>The Handi Batting Scissors is specifically designed to cut batting and to trim excess batting and backing after quilting. Precision-made from fine quality steel for Handi Quilter, it has a 5-inch straight-edge cutting blade and an ergonomically designed handle. The blades are hot forged and individually inspected for quality.</p><p><span>If you currently cut your batting with a regular sewing scissors, you'll be amazed at how well these work to make straight cuts -- even through the loftiest wool batting. You can even use them to cut multiple layers of batting in one cut. The rounded tips mean they won't catch on the bottom of the batting or snag it. The handles are completely out of the way of the batting, so there's no need to stop and adjust your scissors while cutting. And the extra long blades make cutting faster.</span><br></p><p><span>If you currently cut your batting with a rotary cutter, these batting scissors will give you the nice straight cuts you get with a rotary blade. The good news is that with no cutting mat needed, they're a lot less hassle. And you'll save money in the long run. Rotary blades are expensive, and they dull quickly when cutting batting.</span><br></p><p><span>These blade can be sharpened, and the following care instructions will help them to last a lifetime. Wipe blades with soft, dry cotton cloth after each use. Apply sewing machine oil monthly to both sides of the screw and along each blade; open/close the scissors several times; then wipe with a soft, dry cotton cloth to remove excess oil.</span><br></p>
