Look closely. Thus isn't just an ordinary flimsy papasan cushion that might go flat after use. This is a Papasans Unlimited plush style of cushion that has only 12 tufts through it. So less tufts means more compression resistant filling inside, which is needed so that you do not feel the papasan frame beneath the pad. If you have the 46 inch diameter papasan frame (being the measurement that is directly across the dish - without allowing for its curvature) then you should buy this 52 inch cushion, because it is the best fit for this standard sized frame. Anything smaller will not nicely cover the outer rim of the papasan dish - and the additional padding is highly recommended in order to achieve maximum comfort.
